FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How much food is there on tour?
There is definitely enough food for dinner on the Gourmet Safari.  Coupled with Wine Pairing and Whisky tasting the tour is sure to satisfy discerning palates.

  • Do you accommodate vegetarians and/or allergies?
We highly recommend the Classic Menu in order to immerse in the full experience. We do however offer a vegetarian version of the tour. Besides we do not offer any other exceptions as we strongly believe in the holistic experience created by our kitchen team.

  • How long are we at each restaurant?
On the dinner tours we are at each venue for approximately 30 minutes.  The restaurants are always ready for our groups with the food and wine, so there’s nothing rushed about the experience.

  • How do we travel between restaurants?
We walk between all the restaurants, but they are never more than a few steps apart.  And if it’s raining the guide will have umbrellas for everyone.

  • What is your minimum and maximum group size?
The minimum is 2 people and maximum is 10 people on regular tours.  However, we can accommodate much larger groups (upwards of 25 people) with enough advance notice.

  • How much does a tour cost?
The Gourmet Safari Tour is priced at RM 468nett per Person.  This includes all the food, Wines for pairing, Whisky & Non-Alcoholic Drinks (Soft Drinks, Juices, Mineral Water).  Compared to a similar size dinner at any restaurant we visit, there is outstanding value.

  •  What time and where do the tours start?
The Gourmet Safari Tour departs from OPIUM KL at 7pm.  Please arrive 10 minutes early to register as the tours will depart on schedule.

  • How long are the tours?
The dinner tours are about 3 hours, but guests often stay at the last venue for a few more drinks as they are enjoying themselves.

  • Can I come on tour if I don’t drink alcohol?
Definitely.  The food alone is worth coming out on tour.

  • Do you have a hotel pick-up service?
No. Our guides will meet guests at the departure location.  All departure locations are in the immediate Restaurant Vicinity and easy to find.

  • Is there parking at the meeting venue?
Yes. There is valet parking available at El Cerdo Restaurant at a Flat Rate of RM 10.  Additionally, we do not suggest driving if you will be consuming alcohol.  Most accommodation is a short walk or taxi ride from our finish venues.

  • How old do I have to be to come on tour?
We keep the regular tours to persons 12 years of age or older.  However, we can often arrange for private tours for families that would like to include their children that are younger.

  • Is there a dress code?
The most common is smart casual.  Also, guests should wear comfortable footwear for walking between restaurants and dress weather appropriate. We suggest not to wear flip/flops.
